Trace Investigations, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Don C. Johnson, the only Certified Legal Investigator™ in Indiana and one of less than 100 in the U.S. He is a founding member and past president of the Indiana Society of Professional Investigators; a member of the National Association of Legal Investigators; a director of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services; and a member of the Council of International Investigators and the World Association of Detectives. Johnson is a published author and former editor of PI Magazine, a national journal. He has appeared on national TV and lectured on suspicious death investigations, skip tracing and pre-employment screening. Johnson is also a member of the World Association of Detectives, the National Association of Professional Process Servers, the National Association of Professional Background Screeners,and ASIS International (formerly American Society of Industrial Security). In addition, he is a charter member of the United States Association of Professional Investigators.
