Trace Investigations, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Don C. Johnson, the only Certified Legal Investigator™ in Indiana and one of less than 100 in the U.S. Johnson is a founding member and past president of the Indiana Society of Professional Investigators. A published author and former editor of PI Magazine, Journal of Professional Investigators, Johnson has appeared on national TV and lectured on suspicious death investigations, skip tracing and pre-employment screening.

Trace Investigations, Inc. provides general investigation and security services to the legal and business communities, and to the public at large. Trace is also a regional consumer reporting agency, providing background investigations and pre-employment screening services to businesses of all sizes.
