FAQs: Personal Injury Investigations

What kind of personal injury cases do you work?
For almost a quarter of a century we have assisted plaintiff attorneys in many aspects of their work for injured parties; including but not limited to, accident site examinations, first responder contact, witness locates and interviews and asset investigations, to determine resources for satisfying plaintiff losses due to the negligent acts of others. For more information on personal injury investigations, go to our Attorney Services page.

How does your firm differ from other investigative agencies?
Because of the volume of the case load at any given moment, we use a team approach, saving our clients time and money. A complex case is best served if tasks are divided among those with special skills. For example, on a complex personal injury investigation, one investigator may be interviewing witnesses and obtaining statements, a researcher may be obtaining court documents and other records and a case manager in the office will be reviewing the work to date, getting it ready to present to the client in a clear, clean and precise format.

How do you report your results?
In whatever method best moves the case forward and our client prefers. Our investigators routinely correspond with clients during a case, by telephone, emails and in case review meetings. At the conclusion of an investigation, we provide a written report with supporting documentation, witness contact lists, etc.

Are you available to testify?
Yes, when necessary. Our investigators are experienced in courtroom decorum. Many of the plaintiff cases we are involved in never get to trial. They are settled out of court. Our goal is to help our clients prevail in those settlement negotiations, avoiding the time and expense of a lengthy trial.

How much do you charge?
It depends. Most of our cases are billed by the hour plus expenses. Once we consult with the client about the nature of the case, we can set an initial budget. We understand resources may be limited for some cases and will work closely with our client to obtain favorable results. For new clients, we require a retainer arrangement.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and checks.

How do we contact you?
You can always call our office from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (phone 812-334-8857). Our investigators have cell phone numbers and email addresses printed on their business cards, and often communicate directly with clients during cases. You can also go to our contact page on this web site and send us a message. If you have a legal matter you think an investigator can help you with, we want to hear from you.
