Over the years, our investigative support services expanded. Trace is now called upon to assist in estate and probate matters, complex family law cases, insurance defense investigations, and numerous areas of personal and business concerns. Under Don’s leadership, in addition to providing legal investigative services around the state, for over 20 years, Trace Investigations has been a leading supplier of background screening services for corporations around the state.
As the business grew, so did the staffing needs. Trace now employs several full-time investigators, legal researchers, cyber intelligence specialists, and screening analysts. Rebecca M. Johnson, MBA, with a background as a banking compliance officer, joined the company in 2001 as CFO and established our pre-employment screening protocols. Tina Skirvin now manages our legal investigations division. A Certified Criminal Defense InvestigatorTM, Tina is a member of the National Defender Investigator Association, NALI, and Intellenet. Our litigation support services are in good hands, thanks to Tina’s background as a senior court reporter and paralegal, and her leadership of our investigations team for several years. The managing partner of our pre-employment screening division is Christine Koryta. Christine is a member of the Professional Background Screeners Association and the South Central Indiana Human Resource Association. She brings her unique skills in information and resource management to Trace Investigations. Both Tina and Christine have been with Trace for over ten years and are professional women with a proven history of understanding clients’ needs, offering the highest degree of “excellence in accuracy and integrity.”
Assisting Tina is Kaytlyn Black, a former paralegal and Certified Cyber Intelligence InvestigatorTM. Kaytlyn is a graduate of Indiana University. Nigel “Buddy” Newlin, another IU alumnus, assists Christine as a research analyst and has been a key member of the Trace team since 1995. Assisting Christine in the day-to-day operation of our screening services is Paul Shoulberg. Trace Investigations continues to offer internships to IU students, and we are fortunate to have at our disposal for subcontract services members of the Indiana Society of Professional Investigators (INSPI), and members of NALI and Intellenet around the country and in several countries.
Don and his team at Trace Investigations are gratified that clients keep returning for solutions to their legal concerns and business needs.
